Sacha Pemble's win in the
International Three Star at Punchestown capped a successful celebration of 40
years of Eventing at the Home of Irish National Hunt racing. Sacha's triumph
with her own I've Been Dun in the Irish Horse Board sponsored CCI 3* marked the
first Irish win since Jessica Harrington in 1986.
Punchestown is always a happy hunting
ground for the British and perennial raider Matthew Wright took home one winners
cheque when he took top honours in the Fáilte Ireland CCI 2* class with Mrs
Helen Hilton's Singalong.
Whilst in the CLG CCIY 2* the Irish
again took the top spot with Sara Glynn and Jean Balbernie's Kilossery Ringwood
taking the spoils here.
